Military Life

Talking abit about military life (spouse side of it)....
Being a military spouse has its days (if you will). We have many different "jobs" compared to the spouse whose spouse works for... umm, the telephone company. We are the mom, dad, maid, chef, nanny all put into one. Being a military spouse is a tough job. It is no cake walk that is for sure. If you decide to marry someone who is in the military, please don't be one of those (and i do know a few of them and seen it happen) who thinks that marrying them, you will have it easy, they will be home every night, you will live in the best house, have alot of money, never move, etc... Well, that is not the way, marrying someone who is in the military, you are not marrying just them, you are also marrying the military, per say, you being the spouse represent that person and the command they work for. Your spouse (if he/she) are home every night, you are one luck person. You move every 3 years to anywhere in the world. Your spouse will have their work that they have to take care of, and sometimes it is first before the family. Being a military wife, I can honestly say, I would not have it any other way. Not only is it prettymuch all I know (growing up in a military family), but it is a stable job, that I know he can't get fired from, steady income (not the best but can't complain), housing is provided, as well as medical care/insurance. The nice thing is, you get to see different places all over the world for "free". So, while your military spouse is working or gone for 30 days or 3 months or however long, you can go out and see the sights and such. You get to meet new people and other military spouses and can sit down and compare notes and learn new things that maybe you did not know about. Also, being a military spouse, you get to be rewarded for being supportive of your military member's career choice. You feel blessed and happy when they come home, and sad when they have to leave on a deployment or exercise. So, for those out there who are getting rdy to marry that military member, I hope this helped ease and soften the blow of what exactly you will be getting when you say "I do."

First Time

Well, this is the first time for me doing this. Not sure really what to say, so will talk about alittle about me. I am 29 years old, I currently live in Yuma, Arizona. I am married to a United States Marine and have been for 8 years now. We have two beautiful boys, 5 years old and 1 1/2 years old. I grew up being around the Navy. So, you can say the military is prettymuch been apart of my life. I started a year ago playing Dark Age of Camelot, and love it. I have met alot of people through there and consider some of them part of my "family".

I have traveled alot in my life. Let's see:
San Diego, California; Sicily, Italy; Ashtabuly, Ohio; Norfolk, Virginia; Clinton, Maryland, Quantico, Virginia; Okinawa, Japan; & Yuma, Arizona.

Well, I guess that is prettymuch it for now.
